“L’invasione dell’Ucraina segna una svolta nella storia europea”,mostra che le “conquiste di pace e benessere non sono scontate”. Draghi ribadisce la solidarietà al presidente Zelensky e a tutti gli ucraini. L’aggressione russa “non è solo l’attacco a un Paese libero, ma ai nostri valori di libertà e democrazia.Ora tocca a tutti noi decidere come reagire, l’ Italia non si volta dall’altra parte”. Il ricatto nucleare impone “una reazione rapida, ferma, unitaria”.
La Ue “ha assunto decisioni senza precedenti” con le sanzioni alla Russia contro l’attacco all’Ucraina ora si deve procedere spediti verso una difesa comune”. E’ però “essenziale mantenere aperto il dialogo con Mosca”, aggiunge, e sottolinea il coraggio di quanti in Russia manifestano contro il Cremlino. Italia è “in prima linea” per i rifugiati.Al momento non ci sono problemi nelle forniture di gas, ma lavoriamo “per ridurre dipendenza da Russia”.Raccomanda a italiani di lasciare le città ucraine.
